  • Man holding a sign that says I'm with Her

    Abortion Rights

I never thought Roe v. Wade would be overturned but that is where we find ourselves. I will be a tireless advocate for women so they can make their own healthcare decisions about their own bodies.

    Childcare

Maryland parents spend far too much money on childcare. It is a drag on the economy keeping so many talented parents from the workforce because they cannot afford the current level of childcare costs.

  • Photo of a sign that says One World with a picture of planet earth

    Climate Change

Follow the science and you realize that climate changes is the greatest existential threat to us, our children and grandchildren. That is an incontrovertible fact.

  • 3 men talking in an office

    Disability Rights

As a person with cerebral palsy, the full inclusion and empowerment of people with disabilities is personal to me. In Annapolis, I will advocate ensuring that every student with a disability has the supports and services they need to thrive.

  • African American boy writing in a notebook

    Education

As a K-12 student who graduated from Montgomery County Public Schools, then Montgomery College and finally the University of Maryland College Park I want to ensure that every student has a positive experience similar to the one I had.

  • Woman holding a sign that says Newton For Gun Safety

    Gun Safety

With the onslaught of mass shootings and gun violence, it is important that Maryland remain in the vanguard of sensible gun control laws, gun safety and education programs.

    Healthcare

Quality healthcare is something that I have focused on my entire life. When I am in Annapolis, I will ensure that healthcare decisions are made by patients and their doctors, not by an insurance company.

  • head of the Statue of Liberty

    Immigration

I am tired of the extreme xenophobia in our society today. Immigrants are and always have been an important part of the fabric of our community and play a critical role in our economy.

  • Family walking together. Young person wearing the Progress Pride Flag

    LGBTQ

We have seen great advances in the rights of the LGBTQ community but we still have biases & prejudices to overcome. LGBTQ community protections need to be enacted & enforced.

  • 2 hands making peace sign

    Racial Equality

People of color face huge barriers and discrimination in every facet of society. While important strides have been made, they just reveal how much more work is needed.

  • Family eating together at the kitchen table

    Supporting Families

Families are being challenged, financially and emotionally, at both ends of the age spectrum. Young families simply cannot afford childcare costs in this county or state.

  • Actors on stage rehearsing

    The Arts

I vigorously support assisting those in the creative arts. Studies have shown that the arts are one of the best economic drivers for job creation, tax revenue, and turning around struggling neighborhoods.

  • hand pointing at a computer screen

    The Economy

I am deeply troubled that Maryland lags behind Virginia in attracting big-name job-producing companies that stimulate the economy. Fairfax County, VA routinely outpaces Montgomery County in terms of job creation

  • Diverse group of women sitting at coffee shop talking

    Women's Health

I am a strong supporter of a woman's right to choose and commend my friend Ariana Kelly for leadership on the Abortion Care Access Act. I will be a tireless defender of a woman's right to make decisions regarding her own body.
